An opportunity to join the ATTACH team as a Senior practitioner offering therapeutic support.
Half time post (18.5 hours)
Are you a passionate, qualified Social Worker with experience of working with Children We Care For, Adopted and/or SGO families? Do you have a keen interest in attachment and developmental trauma? Would you like to develop your therapeutic skills and work psychologically with families? The ATTACH team are looking for an individual to join their team.
The ATTACH team is a multi-disciplinary therapeutic support team, comprising Clinical Psychologists, Senior Practitioners, and an Educational Psychologist, working with children and young people who are no longer living with their birth parents. Underpinned by an understanding of the importance of early attachment relationships and developmental trauma on all aspects of a young person’s development, ATTACH works with young people, foster carers, SGO carers and adoptive parents to promote attachment security and positive emotional and psychological functioning.
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Social Worker to be an active member of our team; supporting the development and implementation of services to our population; offering consultation and supervision to colleagues in the department; providing therapy to Adoptive, SGO and Foster families across the county.
The post is situated within the Children, Young People and Families directorate and would best suit an individual who has experience of working therapeutically, ideally within a child and adolescent mental health setting . We are seeking an individual who can contribute within a team setting, is adept at working collaboratively with multiple systems, is able to engage and work alongside vulnerable families and young people, and can work creatively and independently.
The successful applicant will be based within ATTACH, at the Child and Family Centre, Union Street, Oxford.
