About Us
The Network Coordination function ensures the smooth running of the road network. We coordinate utility, developer and private work on the highway, manages performance and minimises disruption to the travelling public, under the Oxfordshire Permit Scheme and Oxfordshire Lane Rental Scheme and in line with the relevant legislations including NRSWA 1991. We work as part of the wider Network Management Team.
About the Role
This role is to support the licencing function in the Network Coordination department, working within the Streetworks section. You will be computer literate and able to learn new systems and processes as changes are made, receiving applications from third parties for "Road Space Booking" and "S50 Road Opening Licences" ensuring all documentation is present and correct. Working closely with the Compliance Specialist for assessment and approval, raising the booking/licences then following through with all the tasks required for completion.
The Network Coordination team carry out varied tasks, but ultimately we make sure our residents and stakeholders can navigate our network with the least possible disruption.
About you
Working knowledge of the NRSWA, Traffic Management Act, Code of Practice for Coordination along with other industry legislative documentation, experience of working in a similar environment covering Network Coordination and Streetworks.
Qualified to NRSWA and Lantra level or related industry experience with extensive TTRO and traffic management knowledge, along with a good understanding of Streetworks processes and procedures.
