About Us
Special Educational Needs Support Service (SENSS)
Our Communication and Interaction Resource Bases are in mainstream schools where you will work closely with specialist classroom teachers, providing directed support, care and supervision to children including those who have Autistic Spectrum Disorders and associated language, interaction, learning and communication difficulties.
About the Role
The aim of your support and guidance will be to enable the children and young people from Years 7 - 13 to access the curriculum and to facilitate full inclusion in school life, supporting children to learn as independently as possible.
About you
Our ideal candidate has a quiet and encouraging manner, highly developed communication skills and the ability to remain calm in difficult situations. You need to be open to learning and to have a commitment to inclusion for children and young people with Special Educational Needs.

This post is Term Time Only – 39/52 Weeks
32 hours a week over 5 days
Grade: Grade 6, Scale Points 8 – 13
(Hourly rate equivalent £12.80 rising to £13.93)
Hours: (Pro Rata FTE = 37 Hours)
Paid Leave Entitlement – 5.45 weeks
