About Us
Adopt Thames Valley (regional adoption agency) launched in December 2017 to provide Permanence Services on behalf of Bracknell, West Berkshire, Windsor and Maidenhead, Wokingham, Reading, Swindon and Oxfordshire. It is hosted by Oxfordshire County Council with offices in Oxford, Woodley and Swindon.
The Permanence Support Team is a specialist team providing post-order support to adopters, special guardians and their children, adults affected by adoption, and to birth families.
About the Role
You will be joining a supportive team of aspirational, creative and committed social workers who strive to provide the best possible outcomes for adopted and Special Guardianship children.
Social Workers in the team hold a varied case load, working with adopted parents, special guardian's, children and birth families. We also run a range of workshops and training for our families, alongside children's groups and annual family days.
About you
Are you a passionate, qualified social worker with experience of working with children and families? Are you interested in different ways of working in this field?
We are looking for an individual who can think creatively about how to support adoptive and Special Guardianship families, and who has an interest in permanence for children.
