About Us
The Network Coordination function ensures the smooth running of the road network. We coordinate utility, developer and private work on the highway, manages performance and minimises disruption to the travelling public, under the Oxfordshire Permit Scheme and Oxfordshire Lane Rental Scheme and in line with the relevant legislations including NRSWA 1991. We work as part of the wider Network Management Team.
About the Role
To support the delivery of the Highway Authority's Network Management Duty under the Traffic Management Act 2004 by coordinating street and road works on the public highway. The role is responsible for assessing, coordinating and managing permit applications, road space bookings, lane rental applications and traffic management proposals, ensuring disruption to highway users is minimised whilst facilitating the safe and efficient delivery of works.
The postholder will work closely with statutory undertakers, developers, contractors, neighbouring authorities and internal departments to ensure effective planning and coordination of activities on the highway network.
About you
You will have your NRSWA qualification, Lantra Traffic Management qualification along with significant experience in this field. You will have a sound knowledge of the latest legislative requirements as they relate to NRSWA. Be able to work on initiative and alone, previous experience of working at a similar level in Local Government or a Utility. You will require excellent interpersonal and communications skills and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

Your office base may be subject to change as we are currently transitioning between temporary and permanent office locations due to the closure of County Hall. If this is applicable to you, you will be notified, but no reimbursement will apply in respect of travel.
