About Us
We are looking to recruit a Senior Education Safeguarding Advisor in the Education Safeguarding Advisory Team (ESAT). The purpose of the position is to lead an increased capacity within ESAT. To lead on developing the existing offer from ESAT and to increase support and improve practice within wider settings outside of schools and colleges, including all Early Years settings, Childminders and Alternative Provision.
Although this is a county wide role, each advisor will be linked to a Family Hub as the Hubs are developed. This will support working relationships in areas between settings and multi-agency partners. The Senior will support and oversee these arrangements.
The team sits within the LADO and ESAT service. ESAT, although a separate team, works closely with LADO to ensure appropriate allegation management processes in education settings.

About you
Are you are a skilled leader and safeguarding professional? Do you have significant safeguarding experience in a School, Early Years setting or Children's services? Are you able to lead a team? Can you support and advise other practitioners in their safeguarding practice and processes? Are you looking for a new challenge?
Are you:
- Able to lead a team
- Highly organised, self‑motivated and able to work autonomously.
- Committed to restorative, relational and solution‑focused practice.
- Able to work flexibly, sometimes in the evenings or at weekends.
- A car user with business insurance (due to travel across the county).
