The OSCP is dedicated to ensuring that services are delivered effectively and timely to keep children safe and support their wellbeing.

Our partnership includes 3 key agencies with statutory safeguarding responsibilities: Oxfordshire County Council (Children, Families and Education), Health (Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board), and Thames Valley Police. Under the guidance of the "Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023" framework, these agencies collaborate to define and implement local Multi-Agency Safeguarding Arrangements.

 

About the role

You will manage the day-to-day operations of the business unit. You will report to the Business Manager and engage with all partner agencies including private, public and voluntary sector organisations. You will provide efficient and effective minute taking, appointment scheduling, database maintenance and office management. Safeguarding and confidentiality will underpin everything you do, so you must possess a strong working knowledge of safeguarding principles.

About you

You will represent OSCP and the Business Manager, as such you must possess a strong sense of professionalism and office management processes.

You will be required to act with a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality when dealing with children’s files, records and databases. Previous experience of working in a children’s social care or safeguarding environment is beneficial.

Your advanced verbal and written communication skills will be crucial when interacting with elected members, chief officers, directors, and heads of service.
