Are you a highly organised and methodical professional with a keen eye for detail?
Oxfordshire County Council is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant to join the executive support team within the Chief Executive’s office. This is a highly demanding role that requires providing comprehensive and confidential support to the Director of Economy & Place, ensuring they can perform their role with maximum efficiency.
About the Role
The role includes managing diary commitments and an inbox, arranging and minuting meetings using CoPilot, handling sensitive information and correspondence, coordinating service events and large-scale meetings, processing invoices, raising purchase orders, and assisting with the elections process as required.
About you
The ideal candidate will have experience as a well-established Personal Assistant, with advanced skills in MS Office, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The ability to work under pressure and meet unpredictable deadlines is essential. A degree or NVQ2 or higher in administration or PA qualification, or equivalent level of evidenced experience is required. Experience of working in the public sector and using CoPilot for minute-taking and action notes would be advantageous.
We are looking for someone with a high level of professionalism and discretion, who can represent the Strategic Leadership Team with a positive, customer-focused attitude. The successful candidate should strive to enhance current practices and introduce innovative solutions, be alert to politically sensitive issues, and be proactive in bringing them to the attention of the director.
