About Us

Children and Family Care Services supports Children/Young people aged 0 -18yrs who have a diagnosed disability and are open to the Disability Social work teams. 

We are dedicated to empowering disabled children and young people to lead fulfilling lives, regardless of the challenges they face. We support children and their families around their needs, no matter how complex, ensuring they receive the support and care they deserve. 

We provide domiciliary homecare, and short break opportunities for young people in their care.

About the Role

The Flexible Response Role involves direct work with parents/carers to role model strategies in caring for their children safely.  You will be working alongside, and with individual children, young people and their families to provide timely support and interventions to address safeguarding concerns and help reduce risks to children and young people. This can involve support with medical tasks and interventions for which child specific training will be provided. 

In addition you will provide domiciliary homecare, and short break opportunities in the community for young people in your care. 

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic worker who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.

 

About you

You will need to be reliable, flexible, and adaptable with the ability to demonstrate a creative approach to working with children and young people who have a disability, alongside their parents and care givers 


You will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and engagement skills and be able to adapt your style and approach to each individual child and family. 


The successful applicants will demonstrate a commitment to continuous development and to working towards or successful completion of a certification in Care Skills award.
