Oxfordshire County Council’s Facilities Management Team have a great opportunity for someone to start, or build on, their career within Facilities Maintenance.
We are recruiting for an Electrical Apprentice to work alongside our engineers within the Hard FM team, across the county portfolio.
About the Role
The Electrical Apprentice will be a key member of the Oxfordshire County Council's Hard FM team, working towards completing an NVQ L3 qualification with a local collage and work base placement. The induvial will work alongside qualified Electricians, maintaining and improving the electrical infrastructure of OCC's buildings and facilities. This role involves performing a variety of tasks to ensure the structural integrity, safety, and aesthetic quality of the council's properties.
The salary will increase following a performance review thought-out the training duration.
About you
- Age: You must be 16 or older.
- English and Maths: You need to meet the required level in both English and Maths, typically GCSE Grade 4+ (or equivalent) for Level 3 apprenticeships,
- Technical Skills: require additional assessments or qualifications, such as a colour vision test.
- Team Player: Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Proactive: Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing maintenance issues.
- Customer Focused: Committed to providing high-quality service and maintaining a positive relationship with OCC staff and building users.
- Adaptable: Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
