In our Children, Education, & Families Directorate, we want every child to have the best possible education and with this goal in mind, we’ve set out to improve and transform our services

As part of this, we are currently in the process of re-evaluating and restructuring our Specialist Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) services, with the objective of advancing the educational outcomes for children and young people.  

 

We’ve been consistently rated as “good” by Ofsted, but we are not content with that; we are ambitious and want to do even better! Oxfordshire County Council is a financially stable local authority which is committed to investing in Children, Education, and Families, to ensure that we have the resources we need to make a real difference to the children, young people, and families we work with.   

About the Role

The Migrant Education, Employment & Adult Skills team is forward thinking, vibrant and growing within the Children, Education and Families directorate and the Migration Partnership. We focus our support on migrant families who have arrived in Oxfordshire to resettle, be homed temporarily or, to await asylum decisions

 You will undertake case work specifically for New and Migrant children, in conjunction with Children Missing Education Snr Officer to identify, locate, track and ensure access to education for New and Migrant children including carrying out home visits.
