About Us

At Oxfordshire County Council, our people make a real difference to communities across Oxfordshire. We want them to have the skills and opportunities to learn, develop and build their careers.

Our Learning & Development and Early Careers team provides learning and training across the council. We also support apprenticeships, early careers and other opportunities for people to develop.

Join us and you'll gain valuable workplace experience while working with people from across the council.

About the Role

As our Business Administration Apprentice, you'll join the Learning & Development and Early Careers team and work towards a level 2 apprenticeship qualification while gaining practical experience.

You'll get involved in a wide range of activities that include:

- organising training and learning activities

- responding to questions from colleagues

- arranging meetings

- keeping information and records up to date

- using digital systems, including our Learning Management System

- working with information and data

- supporting learning, apprenticeship and early careers projects.

You don't need previous experience in this type of role. We'll show you how things work and give you opportunities to develop your skills throughout your apprenticeship.

You'll work with different people from across the council, giving you a great introduction to working in a large organisation.

About you

We're looking for someone who is keen to learn, get involved and develop new skills.

This role could suit you if you:

- communicate clearly with different people

- enjoy working as part of a team

- can organise your work and get things done

- pay attention to detail

- are comfortable using computers and digital tools

- are willing to learn new systems

- take pride in providing a good service.

You don't need to know how to do everything when you join us. What's important is that you're willing to learn, ask questions and try new things.

It would be helpful if you already have GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above, or equivalent qualifications. If you don't, you can still apply. You'll complete Level 2 English and/or Maths as part of your apprenticeship if needed.
